The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Prof.) Stephen Odey, has been honored with an Award of Recognition by the College of Education, University of Calabar, for his outstanding contributions to educational advancement in Cross River State.

The award, which was earlier conferred during the First Annual Conference of the College of Education, was presented to the Commissioner in his office by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Offiong Ani Offiong.
While presenting the award, Mrs. Offiong applauded Senator Odey for his academic excellence, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the education sector across the State.
In his remarks, Senator Odey expressed deep appreciation to the University of Calabar’s College of Education for the honor, and to Mrs. Offiong for her representation. He reaffirmed his dedication to driving impactful policies and reforms that will further elevate the quality of education in Cross River State.
